Last week we received the following notice: Your application was reviewed, recommended and approved for funding in the amount of: $5,000.00
This grant is from the Owensboro Community Health Investment Grant Program and is for the 2017/2018 grant period.
The money from this grant will help pay for new Celebrate Recovery Materials and Bibles. As well as quarterly questionnaires, maintaining the records for meetings and future Celebrate Recovery material as well as signage for the home at 718 Center Street.
We will also be adding a smoking cessation program this coming year as it was one of the stipulations of the grant guidelines. No Smoking Zone signs have been posted at each entry into the parking lot and another is hung on the wall outside of the side entrance wall going into The Home.
Remember we have Celebrate Recovery meetings on Monday and Friday at 6:30 at the Church of the Nazarene. All are welcome to come and join in.
9th Annual
Tour of Tables
This year's Tour of Tables was held on Thursday, April 6 @ Trinity United Methodist Church.
Approximately 200 people were in attendance.
A delicious dinner consisted of Caesar Salad, Chicken with green beans, baby carrots and Mashed Potatoes and a Dinner Roll. Dessert were assorted Cupcakes. We heard a lot of compliments on the dinner.
Special Music was provided by Brittany Payne.
The guest speaker for the evening was Pastor Jessi Gibson, River City Church - Owensboro, KY.
A Silent Auction was held and a special thanks to the 40 sponsors and bidders.

Spencer County Foundations received $1,000 for sponsorship of 2018 Tour of Tables
Owensboro Community Health Initiative Grant for $5,000 supporting our Celebrate Recovery Program and Smoking Cessation Program from 2017 / 2018.
Yeager Grants in late 2017 bestowed a $5,000 Grant for overhead cost for the Transitional Housing Facility Upgrades.
Owensboro Community Health supplied us with a $1,000.00 Grant in 2017 for paper and Transitional Housing Facility.
